Looking for a magical illumination adventure for all the family to enjoy together? During December, Enlightened will be at Castle Park, Colchester with a huge outdoor light trail. Many buses pass near the castle which stop at the High Street.
There is so much to do if you are celebrating Christmas at Colchester Zoo... See Santa's reindeer, journey through The Santa Experience, meet the elves in their craft workshop, listen to a Christmas Tale, and discover the Enchanted Woodland. The First 75 and Hedingham 92 services can take you there.
The Epping Ongar Lights Express (departing from Ongar Station) is an incredible light show on and in a steam train, consisting of thousands of coloured LED lights.
Braintree Village has launched its first ever Ice Rink. In a truly magical setting, why not show off your skating skills and make some festive memories. Stephensons 38 service can take you there.
The Grinch is coming to The Harvey Centre in Harlow on Saturday 16 December (12pm – 3pm). Little ones can be transformed into a mean green one with festive face painters and also take a selfie with him. All activity is free and there is no need to book. Numerous buses stop at Harlow Bus Station which is close by.
The Princes Theatre, Clacton is whisking families away on a magic carpet ride performing Aladdin from 8 December 2023 to 1 January 2024. Numerous Hedingham and Chambers services can get you there. What's that you say... where is the bus? It's beeeeehind you!!
