IMPORTANT PASSENGER INFORMATION

Price differences The Essex County Council Park and Ride Service (route 700) includes your parking charge in your ticket price. There are no additional charges. Retain your ticket so that you can exit the barrier when leaving the car park. Route 701 is now a commercial service and not connected with the Council.

Your parking charge is NOT included in a ticket purchased on a 701 bus. The routes and timetables are the same. You are free to use any bus service you choose. If you purchase a ticket on a bus that is not a 700 bus you must pay an additional £3.60 for parking.

The Council applies the parking charge to the costs of the park and ride service as a whole, including upkeep of the car park and associated facilities. These charges are included in a ticket purchased on a 700 bus and are used by the Council for the service. The Council does not receive any contribution to facilities upkeep from other bus routes that stop at Sandon Park and Ride.
