New Real Time Passenger Information displays at Chelmsford Bus Station

26 Jan 26

Earlier this month, the legacy Real Time Passenger Information (RTPI) displays at Chelmsford Bus Station were replaced with new modern technology. The original displays, installed in 2006, had reached the end of their working lives and were starting to fail. Despite this, our contractors, JMW Systems, continued to maintain them so that passenger departure information remained available.

The new displays have been funded through the Government’s Bus Grant CDEL programme. They are expected to have a service life of more than seven years and will provide more reliable real-time information for passengers. This upgrade forms part of our ongoing commitment to enhancing public transport facilities and delivering a better experience for everyone who uses Chelmsford Bus Station.
