There are lots of activities taking place during October for Halloween. Here are a few ideas to help you enjoy the spooky season.

What's happening: Take a stroll around the enchanted pumpkin-lined paths as day turns to night! See the Pumpkin Village under the stars as thousands of pumpkins and squash light up the autumn darkness. Enjoy the fang-tastic fun fair rides from the Roller Ghoster to the dodgems. All are included in your night admission.

Where: Southend-on-Sea
What's happening: Fright Fantastic is Back this October Half Term! Enjoy a spooktacular time at Fright Fantastic in Southend-on-Sea! With a chilling lineup of activities, including: Trick-or-Treating, Halloween Treasure Hunt, Eerie Entertainment, Free Face Painting and Best-Dressed Competition with exciting prizes!

What's happening: Gather your little monsters for a ghoulishly good day at Audley End this half term. Follow the quest to solve creepy clues and gruesome tasks, and gather around as the Ting Tang Theatre entertains young and old alike with Halloween-themed shows and spooky stories.

What's happening: As the days shorten and the evenings grow darker, join with ghost-hunting storytellers on a family-friendly walk through the shadows of Audley End's grounds. With well-told tales full of strange and spooky goings-on, this Halloween walk is sure to get you into the spirit of the season.
This is an outdoor, early evening tour. It's ideal for a more light-hearted Halloween event for children aged 5-10.

What's happening: Colchester Zoo Trail of Terror is packed full of scares at every turn, from rustling bushes, to masked monsters and screaming scarers! There are Safe Zones located along the route which will allow you the chance to purchase food and drink without the fear of being frightened!
