The Prime Minister has announced an extension to the Government's £2 bus fare in England, which was implemented on 1 January 2023. The cap, which was intended to run until 31 March 2023, was first extended to the end of October 2023, with a further £2.50 cap scheduled until 30 November 2024. However, it was announced that the £2 cap will now remain until the end of 2024 – offering affordable travel for longer.
