Essex County Council is reviewing its support for 41 local bus services and wants to hear from residents.
The consultation runs from Monday 4 August to Monday 27 October 2025 and focuses on taxpayer-funded services, mainly in rural areas, evenings, and Sundays. These services make up about 15% of the county’s bus network and cost around £11 million each year.
Residents are invited to share their views on options such as keeping services as they are, redesigning routes/timetables, or returning some services to commercial operation.
