Service 441 was a service operated by Stephensons of Essex and it was operated on a commercial basis with no input from Essex County Council. When a commercial service is withdrawn, Essex County Council carry out an impact assessment to determine whether or not any action needs to be taken. In this case, the 301 provides a service which passengers can use, albeit at different times. The 301 is also operated by Stephensons so original tickets can be used. Essex County council will continue to monitor the suitability of this change.
