In 2024/2025, Essex County Council launched the first round of the Love Your Bus grant fund, supporting nine community-led projects aimed at enhancing local bus services. Feedback from the 2024/25 Grant Round

Based on feedback and lessons learned from the first round of funding, we have introduced several improvements for the upcoming round:

  • Simplified application form to reduce time and complexity

  • Comprehensive list of ECC-funded services, including contract expiry dates

  • Designated email contacts for transport providers assigned to Love Your Bus projects (these will be shared directly with Parish and Town Councils and are not for public use)

  • Regular engagement and Q&A sessions from September 2025 to January 2026 to support applicants throughout the process
