DigiGo - Digital DRT
What is DigiGo?
DigiGo is an on-demand and pre-bookable public transport service operating across parts of Essex and Suffolk. There is no fixed route or timetable, which puts you in control of your journey. As a shared transport service, you may travel with other passengers heading in the same direction. Wheelchair-accessible vehicles are also available and all DigiGo drivers are enhanced DBS checked.

Booking your journey
Existing Travel Zones
Journeys can be booked via the TravelEssex app or the telephone booking line, which is available Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm on 0345 603 7633 (excluding bank holidays).
New Travel Zones
Journeys can be booked up to 7 days in advance by calling 03330 137 138 (Monday–Friday, 9am–5pm). Next day journeys must be booked by 5pm on the previous working day.
Coming soon: Once things bed in (from September), we’ll introduce the TravelEssex app for the new Travel Zones too.
Pricing Structure
DigiGo offers three ticket types: Adult, Young Person and Concession.
As an introductory offer, users travelling within the new DigiGo expansion areas will be able to travel for free for all ticket types until 31 August 2026.
Customers in our existing DigiGo zones will also benefit from free travel for Young Person tickets, in line with the Government's Great British Summer Savings initiative.
Adult fares in existing DigiGo zones will remain capped at £3 per fare through the National Bus Fare Cap scheme.
The table below outlines the single fare prices per person available until 31 August 2026.

*Concession's travel for free after 9am on weekdays and at all times at weekends. Before 9am on weekdays the standard fares apply.
A young person on DigiGo services is classified as under 18 years of age.
Group bookings are available too – for up to 10 people, so that’s you plus 9 others.
