Adult Social Care Transport
Most people make their own way to and from adult social care day services, day opportunities and further education.
However, Essex County Council is committed to supporting people aged 18 and over who have been assessed under the Care Act 2014 as having eligible needs. As part of this support, transport may be provided if individuals cannot make their own travel arrangements. Transport needs must have been assessed and recorded in each person’s care and support plan, and personal budget.
Transport is a chargeable service under Essex County Council’s adult social care charging policy. Contributions towards transport are identified via financial assessments.
